I started my hospitality career at the age of 15.
I went to a secondary school specialising in tourism and I qualified with a specialism in the service and bar department. For 3 years, I spent the summer terms as an apprentice in a hotel restaurant and bar.
I then obtained a bachelors degree in hotel and hospitality management whilst continuing to spent my summers working in hotels (food and beverage departments).
To broaden my experience, I started working in the Istanbul Intercontinental Hotel. After 2 years of fantastic experience in the restaurant and room service department, I came to London and where I obtained an MBA. While studying I also worked at one of the best hotels in London, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, in the room service department.
Whilst I learned a lot from working in the hotels, I always wanted to run my own business so I was delighted when my sister and brother-in-law agreed to go into business with me. For the last 5 years we have run a successful cafe in London. Two years ago, I expanded the business to online catering services and recently we opened our second cafe.
